Cuffe Parade is an upmarket historical and most significant business district in South Mumbai with the highest real estate prices and home to high-rises with apartments ; one of which was purchased by our client adjoining their existing apartment which we combined into a single home.
Through structural alterations a common entrance foyer created an intimate yet expansive scale with sliding shutters separating formal and informal living spaces extending views across the elongated footprint.
A feature wall interspersed with alcoves and vintage finds overlooks gardens from a converted balcony with plants. Use of natural wood and stone, polished jaisalmer and marble, and mustard velvet fabric on a bespoke lounge add texture and character.
Terracotta tiles in the renovated kitchen along with custom made furniture in maple veneer and solid wood louvers in bedrooms and baths create a rich earthy palette.
Blue kiln glazed tiles lead into a walk-in closet while a yellow jaisalmer niche complements white marble in another bath. Carefully placed artefacts lend eclectic flair bringing the client’s personal style to the unified space.
